Sigma Delta Tau prides itself on being an inclusive community where everyone is accepted no matter what gender, race or sexuality they identify with. As a sorority founded by Jewish women who were excluded from other sororities based on their identity, DE&I has always been something that we have emphasized and worked towards in our chapter. As a member of our executive board, the Vice President of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion hosts monthly workshops and events where outside experts on matters related to DEI come in to talk to our sisters to expand our knowledge and awareness. Our chapter also hosts a DEI committee (one of the many ways sisters can get involved in our chapter) so that every member of Sig Delt has a chance to have their voice heard. The VP of DE&I also hosts a bookclub where sisters can join to read educational material about topics related to DE&I.
